Enduring Internet Woes: A Tale of Frustration and Isolation

After battling an incessant internet outage for eight long years, I find myself at a crossroads of frustration and despair. Despite my relentless attempts to address the issue through every conceivable means, it seems that help is nowhere to be found, with my Internet Service Provider (ISP) offering little more than scripted responses that lack genuine support.

The Struggle with Connectivity

My journey began with an ADSL connection that worked seamlessly since 2012. However, beginning in 2016, persistent disconnections started to plague my online experience. Since that time, I’ve sought assistance from my ISP, tried out various routers and cables, and even had “technicians” visit my home. Unfortunately, their solutions were limited to resetting my router or tampering with the cables, resulting in no tangible improvement.

In an effort to resolve the issue for good, I secured my own ADSL subscription last year, investing in a premium router with the hope of stability. However, the moment the technician departed after installation, the connection dropped—just a minute later, I was back to square one. Notably, the cable was directly linked to the grey box outside, leading me to believe that the fault lies beyond my control.

The Dilemma of an Ineffective ISP

My ISP, like many others in Morocco, has proven to be unresponsive and indifferent towards my plight. Their approach often feels robotic, as if I am merely a name on a list. No matter how detailed or heartfelt my complaints are, it seems they are destined to be met with the same generic responses, and their “tech” support is far from effective.

The overwhelming frustration of this situation has taken a toll on my mental well-being; two years into this struggle, I felt as though I were losing my grip on sanity. The video games I once cherished are no longer accessible, and the companionship of friends who shared those experiences has diminished. My ability to stream movies, enjoy online games, or even work efficiently has been severely compromised.

Here I am, once again staring at my computer screen, hoping for the connection to return. Just a few moments ago, I was counting the minutes in vain, awaiting a brief window of internet availability that would allow me to connect.
